ENCHANTED MELODY

"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved." Thomas S. Monson

SACRIFICING THE LITTLE LAMB

It breaks my heart to see the price some children pay with irresponsible parents. The kind of parents who never grow up or accept accountability.  A child should not be at risk of sacrificing their mental well being and security so a parent can have the life they want to live. It's the parent's privilege to sacrifice and provide so their children can have the life they deserve.

There is no earthy compensation for failure in the home. Children suffer tremendously for the sins of their parents and pay a dear price for this negligence the rest of their lives.  Jesus speaks about this matter in Luke 17:2: "It would be better for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck and he were cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones."

We may never fully understand the impact of poor parenting in this life, but it will become crystal clear in heaven, when the deep wounds of these little ones begin to heal.

    WHEN THE SHEEP GO ASTRAY

‘Twas a sheep not a lamb that went astray
In the parable Jesus told.
‘Twas a grown sheep that wandered away
From the ninety and nine in the fold.
And out on the hilltop, and out in the cold,
‘Twas a sheep the Good Shepherd sought.
Back to the fold and back to the flock,
‘Twas a sheep that the Good Shepherd brought.
Now, why should the sheep be so carefully fed
And cared for even to-day?
Because there is danger if they go wrong,
They will lead the lambs astray.
The lambs will follow the sheep, you know,
Where’er they wander–where’er they go.
If the sheep goes wrong, it will not be long
Till the lambs are as wrong as they.
So still with the sheep we must earnestly plead,
For the sake of the lambs to-day.
If the lambs are lost, what a terrible cost
The sheep will have to pay!
