SHIFTING CONSCIOUSNESS

Yesterday, my husband and I were traveling and had a layover in the Salt Lake Airport. We stopped by Cafe Rio for a bite to eat and while waiting in line to get our order, we noticed a young teenage boy carrying his tray to the table. He accidentally tilted the tray and the food slipped off, spilling he and his father's food all over the floor.

The young man look up with a face filled with remorse and without hesitation he said, " Dad, I'm so sorry."  His father quickly responded, "It's okay Son, don't worry about it."

Together they cleaned up the mess and just as they finished I handed them a new tray of food. The man was so surprised and appreciative by my gesture that he could hardly speak, but I was the one who received the greatest reward in this wonderful experience. I will always remember the look of surprise on the young boys face, as I handed over the tray and the genuine appreciation expressed by his Father.

Each one of us has the ability to create a ripple effect with our wave of influence.  A wave that rolls over humanity with a powerful impact.  This individual blue print or spiritual DNA has the capacity to change the world and how we see each other.

"We might only pass this way once in a lifetime, we may be given only one opportunity to impact someone's life, with seconds before that window of opportunity closes. Each random act of kindness has the power to make the world a better place in which to live and each genuine act of love will live on through the lives of others. A FATHER'S LOVE

A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall,
but instead he picks you up,
brushes you off,
and says, "Let's try again."

A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes,
but instead he lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you stumble.

A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in every step you take.

Your Father is someone you will always look up to no matter how tall you have grown. He is easily recognized, for he is the man that carries pictures in his wallet where all his money used to be. He wears old shoes, so his children can buy new ones and works tirelessly for the rest of his life.  He is the man who never takes his eyes off of his little ones... no matter the distance or how long the journey!

This day is in honor of all Fathers and I would like to pay tribute to my dad, my husband and sons, who understand that being a "great father" means more than bringing a child into the world, it means become an amazing Dad!  By Linda Sumner Urza, One fine day.

MITT ROMNEY: KNOW THE FACTS

When Mitt Romney took office as governor of Massachusetts, the upcoming state budget for that year would have a structural deficit of nearly $3 billion if the budget was not cut. The existing budget passed the previous year, that would be in effect for several more months, had a projected total deficit of approximately $1.2 billion. Romney inherited about a $650 million deficit in that budget by the time he took office.
Governor Romney convinced the legislature to allow him to immediately make changes to the existing budget. He immediately slashed spending and balanced that budget. He then balanced each of the four annual budgets he created. He was dealing with a veto-proof legislature that was 85% democrat, but he was able to 'hold the line on all the spending that the democrats up there wanted to do. The budgets he submitted, fought for and succeeded in obtaining not only were balanced each year, but provided a surplus of $700 million in 2004, nearly $1 billion in 2005 and a surplus of $700 million in 2006. He balanced the budget every year without raising taxes. By the end of his term, he had taken "Massachusetts from billions in deficit to billions in surplus". He turned in a $2 billion rainy day fund at the end of his term in office.

Romney has a track record for stopping outrageous spending, balancing budgets and creating surplus. Actions speak louder than words and Mitt Romney produces results! We can't "afford" to be led astray by an irresponsible leader!  By Linda Sumner Urza, One fine day.

A DESIRE TO DO GOOD

After reading this you will know more about this candidate than you do
about the current occupant of the White House, and it's only one paragraph.

Mitt Romney

Taken from his Mitt Romney 2012 Site: After going to both Harvard
Business School
and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the
Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney. As a venture-capitalist,
Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office
supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies.
That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over
90,000 people. Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known
as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business
miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone,
Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot
Supply, and many others. Got your calculators handy? Let's recap. Volunteer
campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year. Unpaid intern
in Governor's office 8 years. Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years. Unpaid
bishop and stake president for his church 10 years. No salary as president
of the Olympics 3 years. No salary as MA governor 4 years. That's a grand
total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community, and his
church. (This resume doesn't resemble greed or power, it emulates service.)
